India has been a developing economy and it has also been adapting the better things from "The West", so as to have all the features of the entire globe in one country.

But the Entertainment Sector in India has only been restricted to nightclubs, bars and lounges, shopping malls, cineplexes, multiplexes, and occasionally, Cruising… Though all of these options are accessible in any part of the country, the last option – Cruising is rarely available, and even if it is, then it digs deep into one's pockets. Therefore, we have planned to work out a project on Cruising, but! With a difference.

We all must have heard of the Chilka Lake in the Bay of Bengal, which is a backwater of the Sea and has intruded into the land area of the state Orissa. Chilka Lake is a brackish water coastal lake in India's Orissa state, south of the mouth of the Mahanadi River. It is the largest coastal lake in India and also happens to be the largest inland salt water lagoon in Asia. It is separated from the Bay of Bengal by a narrow sandy spit. The area of the lake varies from 1165 sq km in the monsoon season to 906 sq km in the dry season, and is studded with numerous small islands. The lake was formed due to the silting action of the Mahanadi River, which drains into the northern end of the lake, and the northerly currents in the Bay of Bengal, which have formed a sandbar along the eastern shore leading to the formation of a lagoon.

TheLake has an unique eco-system with a range of aquatic flora ad fauna found in and around its brackish waters.

An impressive array of bird life, both native and migrant, makes Chilka, one of the best places in India for a bit of satisfying bird-watching. The lake is an important habitat and breeding ground for both resident and migratory and aquatic birds, most notably flamingoes. White-bellied Sea Eagles, Greylag Geese, Purple Moorhen, Jacana, Herons and Flamingoes are among the many species which make the lake a bird-watcher's delight. Migratory birds arrive in October from as far away as Siberia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Himalaya, and generally stay until March. Part of the lake is protected by the Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary, which harbors over 150 migratory and resident species of birds. The Nalaban Island within the lagoon is classified as a Bird Sanctuary under the wildlife protection act. The lake is also home to a diverse range of aquatic life, including 225 species of fish and the Irrawaddy Dolphin (Orcaella brevirostris). The rare Limbless Lizard (Barkudia insularis) is endemic to one of the lake's small islands.

Other than these, Chilka's shores are home to Blackbuck, Spotted Deer, Golden Jackals and Hyenas. This belt is also known for its Sea-food. The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve harbours India's second largest pachyderm population, and the chances of seeing Elephant herds are pretty high, especially during the dry season.

Chilka is approximately 120 kms from Bhubaneswar, capital of Orissa and the nearest airport. The nearest railway stations are Rambha and Balugaon, both of which arte very well connected with direct trains from all major cities of the country.

The PROJECT

The project is all about anchoring three ships around 5-6 kms away from the coast, just outside the lake in the high sea. These ships will be inter-connected and will be a ultra-modern floating township on its own. These vessels will be an entertainment hub for people of all ages. All the three ships will be designed with different themes, culture and style, keeping in mind the diversity of the tourists coming to visit the place. This will act as a platform to showcase various architecture, styles and cultures like- Indian, Chinese, European, American, etc., all in one place.

These ships will have all facilities like :-

Varities of accomodation with different classes, Restaurants, Bars and Lounges, Multiplexes, Shopping Malls and Food Courts, Casinos and Gaming zones, Open air Volley-ball, Basket-ball, Tennis, Golf courts, Swimming pools, Gymnasiums, Jogging tracks, Ampitheatres, Convention Centres, Banquet Halls, Night clubs, Emergency Nursing Homes, Libraries, Art Galleries, Observatories, Vedic Cottages, Spas and Jacuzzis, Herbal and Ayurvedic Massage Parlours, Chinese and Hindu temples, Helipads for 2 simultaneous landings, and many more.

Most of the facilities will be available in each of the ships presented in their own theme and style……...

These ships will be navigable through steamers, hover-crafts and helicopters. The steamers will depart from Rambha R.S. point and Balugaon R.S. point on the shore. The site for the ships to be anchored will be within 10-15 kms off the coast. The connecting steamers can be imported from European and Scandinavian countries. These steamers will be very luxurious and comfortable. A nearby island has to be modernized so that tourists can be taken there for a day full of water-sports and bird-watching. There will be package tours available too.
